Pedestrian critically injured in Frankston

Police are investigating a collision that has left a pedestrian critically injured in Frankston.

Emergency services were called to reports of the collision at the intersection of Beach Street and McMahons Road shortly after 3.30pm, Wednesday 27 April.

Although the exact circumstances are yet to be determined, it is believed the collision occurred at a pedestrian crossing at the McMahons Road on-ramp to the Moorooduc Highway.

The male pedestrian has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are attending to assist with the investigation.
