FRANKSTON Council has asked residents to make their priorities known before it forms its 2023/2024 budget.

A portal on the Engage Frankston website has now opened which features 12 “budget focus areas”. Submitters can allocate points to the areas that are most important to them.

Frankston mayor Nathan Conroy says the results of the consultation will shape the next budget. “We’re excited to trial this new approach. By asking residents what’s most important to them, we can ensure a fair, transparent budget that benefits the whole of Frankston City and aligns with the thoughts and values of our community,” he said. “Our new budget will continue to provide essential services like roads, drainage and waste while also investing in new initiatives to help shape the future of Frankston City.

“I encourage you to get involved and tell us what is important to you. All feedback will be presented to council for review, ensuring every voice in the community is heard.”

Consultation closes on 21 March. Make a submission at engage.frankston.vic.gov.au
