A PERSON who died in a Frankston North car crash earlier this month has still not been identified. The driver died in a crash on McClelland Drive. The car drove into trees and caught fire just after 2am on 3 November. The sole occupant died at the scene.

Four days after the fatal crash, police issued a public plea for information to help identify the driver. In a statement, Victoria Police said they believe the deceased person may have been a child. “Extensive enquiries by police have yet to identify the driver who is believed may have been a male child or youth, Caucasian in appearance, about 166cm tall and around 50kg in weight,” Victoria Police said. “It is understood the silver Lexus RX450 SUV was stolen from a Patterson Lakes property on 2 November.

“Police would also like to speak to the driver of a white vehicle that was seen in the area earlier that day and just prior to the crash.” Police have released images of the Lexus and the white vehicle in the hope someone will step forward. To assist police contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
