A MAN is wanted by police for allegedly threatening to stab a Frankston supermarket worker during a robbery in late December. A 22-year-old woman working at a supermarket on Cranbourne Road in Frankston was threatened by a man at around 8am on 30 December. The man allegedly demanded money and threatened to stab her. The victim handed over cash and the offender left. Police say he was last seen getting onto a bus on Cranbourne Road going towards Cranbourne. OPTOMETRISTS are urging parents to limit the amount of time children spend on phones and computer screens. Children aged between five and twelve-years-old are spending three times longer on screen as recommended by the World Health Organisation, a new report has found. Increased screen time can lead to eye issues such as short-sightedness. A JET-SKI rider survived an eight-hour ordeal in the waters off Parkdale last week. A 48-year-old Clarinda man launched his jet ski from Patterson River at around 6pm on 11 January. At around 10.30pm he called a relative to tell them he was having engine troubles. The jet-ski rider’s brother took his boat to look for home, but lost communication a little after midnight. A TRIBUTE to the golden age of Hollywood will grace the stage at Kingston Arts Centre next month. Luke Alleva, accompanied by a three-piece band, will perform his show ‘The Dancin’ Man’ on 20 February. The show draws inspiration from stars of a bygone era such as Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Donald O’Connor, and Sammy Davis Jnr.
