THE state opposition says it will spend $10 million dredging Mordialloc Creek if it wins next month’s election. THE Peninsula Arts Society will hold its annual art exhibition in Frankston this month. The organisation has been running for nearly 70 years. This year’s exhibition will feature more than 200 works. Artists who have their work shown at the exhibition will be eligible to win prizes. The Peninsula Arts Society exhibition will take place at 159 Overport Road, Frankston. Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a burglary in Frankston on 9 October. Investigators have been told the male occupant of a property on Wettenhall Road returned home about 11.30am to find his house being burgled. The victim confronted the male offender who then ran to a vehicle and attempted to leave the scene. Police have been told an unknown man attended a house on Dion Drive and broke into a rear shed about 1pm. Once inside the shed, the thief stole a number of power tools worth $1000.
