THE state opposition says it will spend $10 million dredging Mordialloc Creek if it wins next month’s election. THE Peninsula Arts Society will hold its annual art exhibition in Frankston this month. The organisation has been running for nearly 70 years. This year’s exhibition will feature more than 200 works. Artists who have their work shown at the exhibition will be eligible to win prizes. The Peninsula Arts Society exhibition will take place at 159 Overport Road, Frankston. It runs from 29 October to 1 November, 10 am to 5pm daily. Entry is free. Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a burglary in Frankston on 9 October. Investigators have been told the male occupant of a property on Wettenhall Road returned home about 11.30am to find his house being burgled. The victim confronted the male offender who then ran to a vehicle and attempted to leave the scene. The offender sped around the victim’s car, where his 9-year-old daughter was waiting inside, hitting the victim with the car and pushing him into his garden. Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after power tools were stolen during a burglary in Carrum Downs yesterday. Police have been told an unknown man attended a house on Dion Drive and broke into a rear shed about 1pm. Once inside the shed, the thief stole a number of power tools worth $1000.
