Police are investigating a collision that has left a pedestrian critically injured in Frankston. Emergency services were called to reports of the collision at the intersection of Beach Street and McMahons Road shortly after 3.30pm, Wednesday 27 April. Although the exact circumstances are yet to be determined, it is believed the collision occurred at a pedestrian crossing at the McMahons Road on-ramp to the Moorooduc Highway. The male pedestrian has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not injured and is assisting police with their enquiries. AN online rental scam has been gaining traction. Scammers have been posting photos of houses online then collecting rental money from them upfront before disappearing. Victoria Police have put out a statement warning people to be wary of the ploy. “The scammers post a picture of a house for rent and then ask for money upfront and in some circumstances send a fake rental agreement through,” the statement read. “Do not fall for this scam. A MAN who was allegedly caught masturbating on a bus is wanted by police. Police allege that a victim boarded a bus at Mordialloc Railway Station at around 4.40pm on 22 March. A man changed seats to be in the victim’s line of sight, then began masturbating, police say. Images of a man (above) police wish to speak to about the incident have been released. THE federal government has committed $2.6 million to the planned upgrade of Sandfield Reserve. The Liberals committed to the Carrum Downs project last week. Sharn Coombes, the Liberal’s candidate for Dunkley, visited the reserve with senator Jane Hume to announce the funding.
