Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released CCTV footage following the theft of a backpack from a Frankston hotel last month. Investigators believe the unknown woman attended the smoking area of the hotel about 4.45pm on 10 October. She waited until the owner stepped away from the bag before covering it in her hooded top and fleeing. The bag contained the man’s wallet and other personal items. Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man after an 87-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted at Aspendale Railway Station on 22 September. A 40 year old Frankston man was arrested yesterday (7 November) morning and subsequently charged with sexual assault. He has been bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on 15 December. A STOLEN ute which evaded police on Peninsula Link was later seen in a Seaford service station with a rifle in the tray, early morning Tuesday 31 October.
