FRANKSTON Photographic Club is celebrating its 60th anniversary with an exhibition of members’ work at Frankston Arts Centre’s Cube 37. The exhibition, called ‘Looking Through Our Lens’, showcases many aspects of photography including several images from national and international award winning photographic club members. The Frankston Photographic Club has more than 150 members and is one of the largest camera clubs in Victoria. Club members meet at the Brotherhood of St Laurence premises at 24 High St, Frankston on Wednesday evenings at 7pm. Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Nathan Murray. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the 27-year-old, who also goes by the name of Nathan Rogers, for failing to appear at court in relation to drug, theft and arson related offences. Murray is known to frequent the Mornington, Frankston, Leongatha and Cranbourne areas. Investigators have released an image of Murray in the hope that someone may have information on his current whereabouts. POLICE are pursuing a thief who robs letter boxes to steal people’s credit-card letters, and then attempts to trick banks into sending him their PIN details. Detective Senior Constable Amelia Faulkner said the thief targeted large apartment blocks with multiple boxes, using a master key to gain access. He activates the cards and attempts to have the PINs sent to a false address, or returns later to steal PINs. The man is described as Caucasian, aged 30, 175cm tall, medium build with blue eyes. AN Edithvale man has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury after allegedly stabbing his mother and brother in a domestic dispute on Wednesday. The 23-year-old snapped after arguing with his mother at their Northcliffe Rd house about his Facebook page at about 6pm. Kingston police said the man became angry and upset after being told to take down the post and used a small kitchen knife to stab his brother to the left side of the chest, under his heart. The brother, 20, retreated outside while the offender chased after his mother and allegedly stabbed her in the back.…

THE international Clothesline Project in Frankston was launched Monday to raise awareness of family violence. A clothesline on show at Cube 37, Frankston Arts Centre, 10-13 October, is being used to illustrate the Week Without Violence campaign. It will then be displayed at different parts of the Mornington Peninsula over the next year. T-shirts with anti-violence messages will be on show made by women and children impacted by family violence.
