FRANKSTON Council has decided to deny the community a say about allowing dogs into the city centre. All dogs are currently prohibited from being inside Frankston’s city centre. Council was considering consulting with ratepayers about “permitting dogs in the central activities area of Frankston” as part of its review into its Domestic Animal Management Plan. DUNKLEY MP Peta Murphy has called on the federal government to release the business case into the expansion of the Frankston line to Baxter. A LONG vacant building on Playne Street is set to be filled by a bowling alley. The site has been vacant for more than five years. Savers was the last occupant of the building, which will soon house a General Public. At Frankston Council’s 10 March meeting, they voted to approve the proposal to put a bowling alley inside the building. The proposal will also allow for the sale of liquor. A MAN has been arrested after an alleged shooting in Carrum Downs last month. Police were told that a man walking along Cadles Road was approached by a person with a gun, who then fired a shot at him. The victim was not hit, but was then allegedly run into by a driver in a black Ford. The alleged incident happened just after 8am, 16 February. On 26 February, a 29-year-old Cranbourne West man was arrested and charged with reckless conduct endangering life and intentionally cause serious injury.
