DISTRICT HEATHERHILL have batted strongly on the first day of their two dayer against Carrum to set their opponents a daunting total to chase. DONATION Chain founder Helena Blomeley said she is “relieved” to have received funding to get started on building permanent shower facilities for the homeless in Frankston. FRANKSTON has a new mayor in town after Cr Michael O’Reilly was voted into the position by councillors at an 8 November statutory meeting. Cr O’Reilly replaced outgoing mayor Cr Colin Hampton in the top job. Cr Hampton was voted in as deputy mayor at the same meeting. Cr O’Reilly is currently completing his second term as a North-East Ward councillor, having won elections in 2012 and 2016. PENINSULA PINES have put on a clinical bowling performance to easily claim the first innings over Baden Powell. Baden Powell’s first four wickets fell for just 18 runs, leaving them little hope of getting anywhere near Pines’ total.
