Teens charged for thefts

THREE teenagers have been charged over a string of alleged thefts and burglaries across Baxter, Seaford, Mordialloc, Bayswater, Blackburn, Cheltenham, Cranbourne, Cranbourne West, Croydon Hills, Donvale, Hughesdale, and Ringwood.

Police allege that cigarettes, cars, and money were stolen from supermarkets and petrol stations between 24 February and 3 March. Three teenage boys were arrested in Dandenong on 3 March. A 13-year-old Springvale boy has been charged with aggravated burglary, theft from shop, criminal damage, burglary, armed robbery, attempted aggravated burglary and theft of motor vehicle, a 15-year-old Doveton boy was charged with aggravated burglary, theft from shop, criminal damage, robbery, burglary, armed robbery, theft of motor vehicle, and possess cannabis, and a 13-year-old Noble Park boy was charged with aggravated burglary, criminal damage, burglary, armed robbery, attempted aggravated burglary, and theft of motor vehicle.

The arrested trio were all bailed to appear at a Children’s Court at a later date.
