THE Electoral Boundaries Commission has finalised its redistribution of Victorian electorates. Among the big changes made by the EBC is the abolishment of the Keysborough electorate, currently held by minister Martin Pakula. A chunk of the Keysborough electorate has been absorbed into Mordialloc, which has lost its top section above Lower Dandenong Road. THE amount of money in the Kingston Arts Grants pool has roughly doubled since last year. Council will spend $48,000 on arts grants in this financial year, an increase of $25,000 from the previous year. A public art mural project led by Anna Wheeler will receive $5,000 in grant funding. An artwork featuring local birds, dogs, and scenery will be put up in Cheltenham. A SKYE school was damaged by a group of people earlier this month. Police say the group caused damage to buildings and shade sails at the education facility on 2 October. PLANS are being drawn up to improve Monterey Reserve. A master plan is being worked on for the Frankston North reserve. The last master plan was finalised in 2004. The reserve currently houses grassed open spaces, play equipment, a skate park, a sound shell, a free roam area for dogs, and facilities for the Pines Soccer Club. The soccer pavilion is being upgraded at the moment. The master plan will outline other ways to improve the site in the future.
