VICTORIA’S snap lockdown is due to finish by 11.59pm on 3 June. The “circuit breaker” lockdown was announced on 27 May in response to a growing number of COVID-19 cases in the state. The five kilometer travel limit has been reintroduced. Victorians can only leave home for work, school, caregiving, shopping, and to get vaccinated. A PROPOSAL for the former Kingswood Dingley Village golf site will be considered by the state government’s golf course redevelopment standing advisory committee. The planning minister has referred the new proposed planning scheme amendment and planning permit application to the committee for consideration. The Dingley Village golf course was purchased by AustralianSuper in 2014 for $125 million. Its plans to build nearly 800 residential dwellings on the land were rejected by Kingston Council in 2018.
