SEWF PREMIER FRANKSTON’S debut SEWF season has got off to a perfect start. The Dolphins tackled Mornington on Friday night at Alexandra Park. The Bulldogs established an early lead, but Frankston were able to get back in front. Both sides were neck and neck throughout the night. A TEAM of footballers made history when they ran onto the field last week. For the first time in its 134-year history, the Frankston Football Club fielded a women’s side. The inaugural Dolphins women’s team ran out for their debut match on 23 April. Frankston Council’s “gap heritage review” has seen multiple properties earmarked for heritage protection, limiting what homeowners can do with their houses. TRAFFIC detours are in place this week as work continues on the Mordialloc Freeway. Howard Road at Lower Dandenong Road will be closed until 6pm on 23 April. While the road is shut, work will be undertaken to install new drainage, traffic lights and asphalt new lanes.
