A LARGE piece of machinery has been stolen from a Braeside worksite. A Caterpillar Posi Track Skid Steer (pictured) was last seen at a construction site on Governor Road in Braeside. It was stolen sometime after 3.25am on 27 September. Police have asked anyone who sees the machine to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or the Moorabbin Police Station on 9556 6556. DESIGNS for an updated pavilion at GR Bricker Reserve in Moorabbin have been approved. Council received $3 million from the state government three years ago to develop the facility. Another $1.5 million of ratepayer funding has been allocated to the project as well. A NEW bus interchange will be built on Bay Road during construction of the Cheltenham suburban rail loop station. The bus interchange will connect passengers at the station to a new pedestrian overpass, which will lead to Southland Station and the Southland Shopping Centre. Six bus stops will make up the new bus interchange. It will also include parking space for 400 bikes. THE 2021 Carols by Kingston have been cancelled. Kingston Council called off the event last week, citing the “uncertainty around holding large-scale events during the COVID-19 pandemic”. Instead of the carols, local Tinsel Trail activities will return for Christmas this year. A NEW grant program to help Frankston businesses stay open late will be established next year. Frankston Council has agreed to put $120,000 of ratepayer money into the Invest Frankston After Dark Activation grant program.
